Hospitality & Commercial Property Management

Princess Properties

Our history dates back to 1985 in Fairbanks, Alaska, the true beginning of what is now known as "Princess Properties". As a young & energetic entrepreneur couple in Fairbanks Alaska, we purchased our first property, an owner occupied 4-plex. It was extremely important to us that the three other families in the building had a clean, comfortable home, for a fair price. Countless hours went into cleaning, painting, and landscaping to create a home our tenants would be proud of.

As time progressed, we acquired several other rental properties. The company began to grow. We acquired our realtor's licenses, and Tanya had expanded the company into property management, as well as a satellite company known as "A-1" rentals (a rental referral company).

By then it was obvious that hospitality was in our blood. Our goal was to offer a clean, quiet, comfortable, and safe home, at a reasonable price. As time passed and our level of experience increased, a new company name was born, "Princess Properties". Named after my wife Tanya (my princess) and also depicting a rich and better standard in housing.

In time, life brought us to Washington State where we endeavored into hotels as well as rental properties. The transformations may have come a little slower than a single unit apartment, but they were just as dramatic. We saw an independent hotel called Scotty's Motel turn into the first branded property in Wenatchee with lightning-fast reservations faxed right to us! Later we were able to take on two other properties: the Starlite motel which was renovated and became the Value Inn; as well as a Wenatchee icon - the Chieftain Motel, which was developed into the Best Western Chieftain Inn. By then, faxing was the slow lane - amongst all the other major improvements our portfolio was the first to bring high-speed internet in that market to office computers and guest rooms alike.

Further ahead on the timeline we sold those three hotels and took over a neglected giant in Spokane and updated the Budget Inn to a glistening new hotel - the Quality Inn Downtown 4th Ave. A few more years and a new dream was achieved - the Comfort Suites Wenatchee Gateway. Currently on the docket is Sleep Inn & Suites Wenatchee Confluence that will be expanding the tourism market in Wenatchee.

Don't worry, over 30 years may have passed but we are still a local family business. Our legacy involves two generations currently working hands on at our properties, striving to do right by our guests, neighbors, and team members. We work hard to achieve the best guest satisfaction possible. We are local people who take pride in our community, invest locally, shop in town, hire from the region, and raise our family here. We believe in investing in our team members as much as in our properties, so you can always expect a well maintained experience with friendly staff.
